A system with comprehensive access control, the Bang Pa-In – Nakhon Ratchasima Intercity Motorway alignment (M6) is approximately 196-km. long. The route alignment starts where it connects with the northern segment of the existing Outer Ring Road (or Kanchanaphisek Road) at Bang Pa-In District of Ayutthaya Province, and ends at the approach to the western Nakhon Ratchasima bypass in Muang District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province.
· The beginning of the project is where it meets with the Bangkok Outer Ring Road (M9 or Kanchanaphisek Road) and Highway No. 1, at Bang Pa-In Interchange, Ayutthaya Province.
· The project ends at the approach to the western Nakhon Ratchasima bypass, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, passing 3 provinces and 12 districts.
There are ten (10) interchanges linking the M6 with major highways, plus 9 toll plazas and 8 rest areas. Designators and locations of these facilities are listed below:

Moreover, all sub-systems have also been integrated by the Traffic Operation Center in Pak Chong Central Control Building (CCB), to allow for the entire system to be effectively controlled and managed. These include Traffic Control Center, Traffic Weight Control Center, main server rooms for Traffic Management and Toll Collection Systems, Mechanical and Electrical Rooms, Call Center, etc.
